Kant’ın başlıca yapıtları, sonraki çağdaş filozoflar tarafından yeni sayılabilecek yönelimler içerisinde ilgi konusu olmuştur. Kant’a yönelişler büyük ölçüde filozofların kendi felsefi ilgilerini Kant’ta bulma ve ona dayandırma arzularından kaynaklanmaktadır. Kant, fenomen-numen ayrımından hareketle özgürlüğü ahlak alanında/pratik akıl aracılığıyla tesis etmekte ve özneler arasılığı yargı yetisi bağlamında ortaya koymaktadır. Kant’ın ahlak ve estetik alanlarında ele aldığı tikeller arasındaki bağıntı, evrensel iletilebilirlik, özneler arasılık, evrensel geçerliliğin öznel zemini ve yargı gibi konular, Habermas, Arendt, Gadamer ve Ricoeur gibi çağdaş filozoflar tarafından tartışılmıştır. Habermas dilin iletişimsel kullanımıyla özneler arasılığa odaklanırken, Arendt özneler arasılığı Kant’ın yargı yetisinde ve ortak duyuda bulur. Gadamer, gelenek ve diyalog aracılığıyla ufukların kaynaşmasıyla bir sanat ontolojisi oluşturmaya yönelirken, Ricoeur sembolleri ve sembolleştirmede hayalgücünün etkinliğini semantik bir yaklaşımla ele alır. Mevcut çalışma söz konusu yönelişleri, Kant düşüncesindeki temelleriyle birlikte incelemeyi hedeflemektedir.
